The fly attractant of the invention is composed of all natural ingredients which are nontoxic. The attractant is easily prepared and is suitable for long term storage. while at the same time providing for an effective, easily used and economically available product. In attempting to control flying insects such as flies, sprays are not as effective as they are in controlling crawling insects simply because of the mobility and the range of the insects.
